Salary: £40,000 – £47,500

Becoming a Healthcare Project Manager with Servelec

Due to a new contract win, we are seeking an experienced Healthcare (NSS) Project Manager on a permanent basis. Based in the central belt of Scotland and working remotely, you will be responsible for the delivery of Implementation projects by yourself, to a high standard, in the timescale agreed with the customer. You will be comfortable communicating with the customer directly and providing guidance on processes and procedures.

Working as part of the wider Healthcare team you will be comfortable working with several internal stakeholders (Projects, Hosting, Development, Integration and DevOps) to ensure that everyone has all the relevant technical information required to successfully deliver large complex projects.

Travel to customer sites will be expected 1-2 times per week, with a monthly visit to Sheffield for team meetings etc.

What you will do: 

  • Liaises with the wider Healthcare team and customers to effectively plan and deliver the implementation project in accordance with contractual agreements and in line with project delivery processes.
  • Effectively manages the scope of the project in terms of product, services and results.
  • Ensure that these are defined and that these remain within an acceptable tolerance for the project and avoids scope creep. Uses appropriate tools for change management and knows when these should be used.
  • Ensures the project is delivered according to the agreed timescale. Ensures that a plan is agreed at the outset and that this is monitored and updated regularly.
  • Ensures the project is delivered within the agreed budget. Sets and monitors effective budgets, understands and follows the financial control required by the business, including month end routines, forecasting and invoicing.
  • Has the ability to identify risks and issues within a project, ensures these are logged, monitored and managed. Can identify strategies to manage and mitigate risks effectively.
  • Communicates effectively both internally across all business teams and externally with all stake holders. Chooses the appropriate communication medium for the situation and can adapt styles to suit the audience.
  • Working with the Projects Team Leader; has responsibility for optimising project implementation activities for a defined set of products. This will require producing and maintaining a set of standard guidance documents and being the point of contact for the rest of the business for the assigned products suite.

Your experience will include:

  • Proven Healthcare Project Management experience is essential (Ideally NSS)
  • Good communication skill with internal and external stakeholders
  • Highly organised, good project planning skills with the ability to manage multiple workstreams
  • Strong focus on delivery – driven and able to adopt a practical and pragmatic approach when required
  • Good understanding/experience of Agile project management
  • Excellent negotiating skills
  • Strong budget management and forecasting skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong relationship building skills
